I decided to check this Jess Franco joint called “Two Female Spies with Flowered Panties” (1980) tonight. I believe this is my first Jess Franco film, though I know of him by reputation. I picked up a few of his flicks from Severin earlier this year, and am finally getting to them.
That being said, our two spies are actually French dancer/prostitutes that are recruited by the US Government from a Brazilian prison to spy on or infiltrate a human trafficking ring in the Canary Islands. It sounds decent when I put it that way but the plot is pretty thin, what actually ensues is lots of nudity, sex, torture, hypnosis, hippies, etc. In truth I was a little bored, which is kind of rare for me. Shoutout to the Bob Ross lookalike though.
As usual the Severin Films transfer looked good and there were some special features that I will definitely watch. Love their releases.
